Ok don't forget to leave a comment and this will enter your name for a drawing!
For today's comments, why not tell me your thoughts on e-readers? Evil invention or cool technology? The end of books and their glorious feel and smell or an additive to your already overstuffed reading agenda? Have you touched or played with an e-reader? Do you own one? Tell us all, gory details.

Wicked! Post-apocalyptic stuff. :-)

I read FAR more on my Palm than I ever thought I would. It all depends on the execution: well-done is awesome, mearly acceptable will constantly remind you that paper's better. I'd love ot try one of the e-paper ones from Sony, but I haven't got $300 to thrown down on a single-use device. :-(

I haven't forgotten In Defense of Food. Life's gotten in the way. I'll comment tonight. :-)

In the words of Giles... "Books smell" and I like books, so no e-reader for me for a while yet :)

Looks like a good one - I really likesd The Hot Zone, which (I think) he also wrote.

I have no problem with e-readers. But no problems with books either. So never been tempted to try one.

I'm open to trying it someday.

I haven't bought one, but it's been far too long since I've read an actual book, so that's probably for the best. I do so much of my reading online now, so if I'm going to start reading 'real' books again, then I want the real thing in front of me, I think....not just another electronic device.

I've never seen one in action, so I don't know. I don't think I would want to read on my computer screen, so if it's like that... Then again, I'm fairly adaptable. Perhaps I'll go see what one is like and then report back. Uh...where would I find one?

I came home to a bunch of emails, two of which are from my library saying they have both Truck and Naked on hold for me. I'll be stopping by in the next day or so. I was also soooo pleased to receive the goody you sent. Thank you!! My husband left it on the table and when I walked in today from the airport my first thought was, "Wow, he bought a book I would like to read!"

When I click on the post for In Defense, it's blank. Whassup?

De, Blogger is wacking out with my posts. Try again. I'll double check it. You're welcome!

Gordo, you're welcome too!

Meno, now that I asked that I'm thinking I've asked this before. I'm becoming a repeat offender.

Kay, Giles is sooooooo right. I love the smell of books. A used bookstore is like heaven.

Clowncar, me too. I'd like to try one and I think there would be some instances where it could be handy. But I'll never stop loving books.

Jessi, I don't know how you do it, reading mostly online. It hurts my eyes. Although I've heard the readers are much different than a computer screen.
